Nicole, wake up! Or you’ll be late. It’s your first day in college dear! It was the voice of her mother waking her early in the morning to prepare herself for school. Suddenly she opened her eyes and stood up from her bed covered with a blue mattress and immediately went to the bathroom. While taking a bath, she was quite excited for being a college student. She thought of new friends, new faces, and adventures to meet.

After eating her breakfast, she prepared her things that she needed for school. Nicole was a freshman education student in one of the prestigious universities in Cebu. She was not that smart but she was able to pass the entrance exam. When she arrived in school, her eyes were wandering and smile in every person she met. She was quite confused on where she would go. So she asked the guard the direction. In the classroom, she sat on the left corner. While looking at the window, Bea-newly met friend during enrollment, sat beside her. Their teacher arrived and asked them to introduce themselves one by one.

As days passed by, she realized that there was no excitement at all. She thought of having a boyfriend since she was already eight months single. Her high school friend Phoebe gave her a text mate named Mark. They started to text each other and later on, they both had a mutual feeling. Unfortunately, Mark does not want to have a commitment so, they just remained as friends. Nicole was so upset and frustrated.

Few weeks after, she called her friend Orchid-a high school friend and asked for a boy friend. She was really that desperate to find someone who can be her boyfriend. Orchid gave her friend Andrei, a freshman engineering student. Nicole was so excited when she knew that Andrei was an Engineering student. It was one of the qualities that she was looking for.

After three days, Andrei texted Nicole. While reading the message, Nicole blushed. They started to exchange messages until they decided to meet each other. Nicole was filled of much excitement to see Andrei. In the Eros Garden, they met and talked with each other. After that meeting, it was followed by another and another until they became lovers. Nicole was very happy knowing that she already had her boyfriend. Andrei send a message to Nicole that he wants to see her. They met in Andrei’s boarding house which was there rendezvous. They showed their love for each other by giving hugs and kisses which later turned to romances. Nicole learned not to attend classes just to be with Andrei.

One day, when they were in the boarding house, Andrei attempt to remove Nicole’s shorts but Nicole stopped him. What’s wrong? Don’t you like it? I’m not ready with that kind of stuff. I have to go. Nicole went home with a question in her mind. “Is that want he really wants from me? No, no! I want my future husband will be the want to get it.

Three days after, she did not receive a message from Andrei. Few minutes later, Tooooot! She received a message from Andrei. While reading the message, tears fell in her eyes. Andrei broke her up. She did not know why Andrei decided to end their relationship and he does not valid reasons why he did that. Nicole kept on sending messages to Andrei but there was no response. Nicole felt she carried all the pains in the world. “I could not bear this pain anymore. I’d rather die than suffer this pain.” Nicole! Are you insane? There are a lot of fishes in the ocean! He is not the only shark in the sea. The voice of her friend Margarette stopped her foolishness. “He’s all I need”, Nicole pleaded.

After that incident, Nicole just focused her attention on her studies. She did not look anymore for someone whom she thought that could give her excitement. Through all her efforts in her studies, she received an Academic Award. She really did not expect it. Her happiness was overflowing and she felt joy in her heart.

January 1, she texted Andrei and it says, “Happy New year Andrei. Thank you so much for everything you did to me. God bless you always dear.” Few days later, Nicole received a message from an unknown number. She was trying to guess who the person was but then she realized that it was Andrei. Her heart beats so fast and she jumped with all joy. She immediately replied on his text. Again, they communicate with each other and then, they decided to meet on their rendezvous on next day. Andrei waited at the BPI near his boarding house. Then, Nicole arrived. He smiled and came closer to her. Let’s go! I have a surprise for you. Nicole was thinking of what could be his surprise. Andrei opened the door and they went in. What’s your surprise? Nicole asked. Andrei locked the door and said, “Myself!” He suddenly grabbed her and removed all her clothes. What are you doing Andrei? Stop it! Stop! But Andrei continued on what he is doing. Nicole could not stop him because he was so strong and she cannot escape in his arms. Andrei got Nicole’s virginity without any doubts. After that, they decided to build again their relationship.

The next morning, Andrei asked Nicole if they could see each other but Nicole refused. She was not yet recovered on what Andrei did to him. Her rejection leads to Andrei’s unfaithfulness. For almost two weeks, Andrei did not text her. Andrei had a relationship with another woman who can sustain his biological needs. Nicole knew it so, she confronted Andrei. She slapped Andrei’s face with all force. How could you do this to me Andrei? I gave you all the things you wanted. My time! My body! My whole life! Isn’t it enough for you? She cried and cried. Andrei answered, “All? Are you crazy? I just tasted your body ONCE! Fool! She tried to slap him again but he walked away. Nicole felt as if she was being crushed between two stones. With tears in her eyes, she ran and ran without even knowing where to go. She kept on running until she could not run anymore due to exhaustion. Looking around she felt that the place looked familiar; she recognized that it was the place that she and Andrei met. This was also the place where she accepted his love. She remembered their happy moments together which added to the unbearable sadness. Then, a guy walked closer to her and hand in his handkerchief. Miss, are you okay? Nicole looked at him and said, “I am”. The guy asked if he could sit beside her and she nodded. Miss, I know you’re not okay. I can see it in your eyes. Nicole stood up and leaved the guy. Then, she went home in grief.

“Hey! Nicole! Don’t let me get your mind in the atmosphere. I’ve been doing that for two years and I’m tired. Forget about him! You can still find someone better than him Nicole. Just wait and God will provide” That was the voice of her friend, Bea. I know! I know! Nicole murmured.

After that, they went to their classroom. As the bell rang, they hurriedly ran to their next class. Nicole forgot to bring her paper bag. As Nicole walked through home, she remembered her paper bag. “Oh! My God! My photocopies in my history class were there. We will have our exam tomorrow.” She felt so worried and she does not know what to do. “I hope it was still there or maybe there is someone who brought it and give it to me by tomorrow.” She crossed her fingers.

Early in the morning, there was a guy in the café who was bringing a blue paper bag. It was actually Nicole’s paper bag. The guy takes a single glimpse on what’s inside the bag. Curiosity struck him so he opened it and found out a lot of photocopies, a book of “Understanding Men” and other paper works. While scanning on the book, he found the owner’s name and the contact number which was written on the page 14 of the book. He instantly grabs his phone and call Nicole. Then they decided to meet in the café at 12 o’clock in the afternoon.

Nicole went to the café and looked around to see him. She saw a guy sitting at the corner with her paper bag; she walked towards him and introduces herself. I’m Nicole Sanchez. “Oh! I’m Jake Fuentes.” Thank you so much for keeping my paper bag, Jake. This means a lot to me. “Welcome! I know it’s important, that’s why I brought it when you forgot to bring it.” Nicole gets her paper bag and thanked Jake again. Then, she leaved. “Just see you around, Jake.” Nicole added. Jake smiled and waved his hand.

“This is not your ordinary, no ordinary love; I was not prepared enough to fall so deep in love...” Yes, Hello? Nicole answered. It was Jake calling her. Jake asked her if they could have dinner together and she accepted it.

While they are having their dinner, they talked about their experiences in life and past relationships. After eating, they watched a movie and continue their conversation. Then, at 9 o’ clock in the evening, they went home. Jake accompanies Nicole on her way home. “Thanks for the dinner Jake. I enjoyed the night.” Nicole enters their house and Jake went home.

After that night, they kept on communicating with each other through text. From time to time, if they both have vacant time, they would see each other. Then, Jake started to court Nicole.

One day, Nicole decided to say her big “YES” to Jake and so, Nicole meet Jake in the café. Jake has no idea that Nicole will going to accept him as her boyfriend. Jake was the first one to arrive in the café. After few minutes, Nicole came and sits beside Jake. I have something to tell you, Jake. “What is it Nicole?” Jake asked while feeling so nervous. I‘ve been thinking about this since last night and I decided that… Yes, Jake! Jake was internalizing and felt so happy for what he has heard. He jumped and kissed Nicole in her forehead. Then, he hugged her so tight. “I also have something to tell you Nicole. I’ve been keeping this for so long since the time I knew you. I was the guy who offered you a handkerchief while you are crying in… in Eros Garden? Nicole added. Yes! Jake answered. Oh! God! That’s why you look so familiar to me. I knew it! Nicole kissed and hugged Jake. “I love you Jake”, Nicole whispered. “I love you more Nicole” Jake answered. Nicole looked up to the sky and said, “God would really provide”.

Finally, Nicole found the love that she was searching for. Through all the pains that she had suffered, she finally found the one who was really meant for her. The love that she was looking for came at the time she did not expect and from now on, Nicole and Jake were both happy with their relationship.

Procedures A. The teacher will post strips of words on the board. She will let the students form a circle. She will also hand an apple to a student. Then, she will play music. As the music plays, the student will pass the apple to the person beside him/her and so on and so forth. If the music stops, the person who is holding the apple will choose a word on the board and she will match it with the appropriate meaning.
B. The teacher will now start her introduction about the text.
1. The teacher will give a brief biography of the author.
2. The teacher will group the students into five. She will give each group a script and the lists of the members.
3. The students will act out on what is on the script. They are only given three minutes to prepare.
4. After that, they have to present it on class.
5. The first presenter would be the teacher and her co-student teacher. They will act the first two pages of the play and the last part.
Group 1 = pages 73-74
Group 2 = pages 75-76
Group 3 = pages 77-78
Group 4 = pages 79-80
Group 5 = pages 81-82
C. Then, teacher will give the students a colored paper which is cut out into different shapes. She will ask a volunteer to pick one of the rolled paper on which the color and the shape are written. The student who matches the description will be the one to answer the question. These are the following questions to be asked:
Why did Mario get fired from his job?
Why did Mario steal the apple?
What does the apple in the title of the play stand for?
What is the reaction of Gloria seeing Pablo hiding behind the acacia tree?
What is the result of the appearance of Pablo?
Why did Mario choose to be with Pablo rather than his wife?
What do think will happen to Mario?
D. After that, the teacher will give a Paper pencil test about the text, “The World is an Apple by Alberto Florentino”
E. Then, she will give the assignment which is a reflection about the text and there will be criteria in checking the reflection paper.

III. Procedure 
                    A. Preparation 
                                          The teacher will post strips of words on the board. She will let the students form a circle. She will also hand an apple to a student. If the music stops, the person who is holding the apple will choose a word on the board and she will match it with the appropriate meaning.
